Care enablement technology company Fabric acquires virtual care service provider MeMD from the now shuttered Walmart Health.

MeMD was founded in 2010 and acquired by Walmart Health in 2021, upon which it was renamed Walmart Health Virtual Care. Fabric will incorporate MeMD’s services into its virtual care offerings for employers and payers.

It acquired virtual healthcare assistant startup Gyant and announced a $60 million Series A funding round earlier this year.
