AI has reduced the administration burdens of 66% of surveyed primary care physicians, according to new findings from Elation Health. Of the 100 PCPs who participated, 54% feel that AI will improve the financial performance of their practices within the next year. While 40% report AI has enabled them to see more patients, 58% are not sure that the technology will lead to improved outcomes within the next two years.
A JAMA study finds no correlation between high telehealth usage and the delivery of low-value services at primary care practices, according to a study published in JAMA Network Open. Researchers believe these findings could help convince policymakers that telehealth usage doesn’t necessarily lead to unnecessary, wasteful in-office services.
