Research and Innovation

Researchers find that automating smoking cessation screenings and interventions and integrating them within routine pediatric visits helps reduce smoking rates amongst mothers by nearly 4%.

An Annals of Family Medicine study finds that six primary care clinics that used a clinical decision support tool to notify care teams of patients’ social risks saw greater improvements in blood pressure control and a greater likelihood of social risk screening and documentation than did 44 clinics in the control group.
