Research and Innovation

Eighty-five percent of healthcare practices have experienced at least one operational disruption due to a third-party vendor failure in the last 12 months, according to a new Omega Systems report. Other interesting findings:

• Sixty-one percent expect a cyberattack within the next five years.
• Just under a third are running legacy systems that can’t quickly contain a breach once detected.
• While nearly all surveyed practices are running AI applications as a part of clinical and administrative workflows, many don’t have proper security and governance guardrails in place.
• Nearly 40% manage their own cybersecurity.
