An Elation Health survey of 280 primary care physicians finds that most are enthusiastic about AI’s potential in transforming the way primary care is delivered:

  • 58% see it as essential to the future of primary care.
  • 65% already use AI tools.
  • Nearly 100% of those have seen positive impacts, including a decrease in documentation time and levels of burnout.

Non-hospital providers in Connecticut are now suing patients for unpaid bills at higher rates than their hospital counterparts, with most lawsuits concerning bills of less than $3,000. More than 400 medical providers in the state sued patients between 2019 and 2024, while oral healthcare providers and ambulance companies filed 1,000 and 140 lawsuits, respectively. Orthopedic Associates of Hartford CEO David Mudano notes, “As an independent physician practice, we strive to balance compassion for patients with the financial responsibility required to sustain our practice.”
