Many patients have taken to ignoring text messages from unknown numbers, assuming they are spam, causing appointment reminders to be overlooked. Patients report they are more likely to engage with longer-form text messages from recognizable numbers.

A third of respondents say they don’t have enough time for compliance tasks, and that their organization has no set cybersecurity policies or plans in place.
