Crossover Health, a primary care company serving payers and employers like Amazon, raises $162 million in a Series D funding round, bringing its total raised to $281.5 million.

Concierge practice Pure Cardiology in Charlotte, NC implements virtual health and wellness services from Health Logx, which leverage remote patient monitoring capabilities from Carium.


Government and Politics

Lydia Henslee and several co-conspirators plead guilty to conspiracy and kickback charges related to stealing patient information from a provider’s EHR and then selling the information to durable medical equipment providers in the guise of physician orders. The defendants used their $3 million in ill-gotten gains to purchase cars and jet skis.

The local news profiles Niu Health, an online clinic launched by Hawaii-based physician Tony Trpkovski, MD. The digital clinic offers unlimited telemedicine sessions for $10 a month. Patients can access prescription medications via an Amazon-type lockers located at partner clinics. The clinic’s operating costs are subsidized by advertisers that pay to have their messaging played in the clinic’s virtual waiting room.
