98point6 conducts another round of layoffs, with some employees noting on LinkedIn that the company is now running with a skeleton crew. Several seem to have transitioned to Transcarent, which acquired 98point6’s virtual care technology and primary care business last year for $100 million. The company then pivoted to licensing its technology to other vendors, raising $30 million in April 2023 to fund and scale the new business.
Summer Health raises $12 million in Series A funding. The company offers subscription-based pediatric care via text messaging.
